What This Policy Covers

This Fair Use Policy explains how you can use The Forge and what happens if usage becomes excessive. We want to keep the platform fast and affordable for everyone.

Image Generation Limits

Daily Soft Limit: 100 Images

You can generate up to 100 images per day. This is a soft limit, not a hard cutoff.

What "soft limit" means:

You won't be blocked at exactly 100 images
We monitor usage patterns over time
Occasional spikes above 100 are fine
Consistent excessive usage may trigger a review

Why we have this limit:

AI image generation costs us real money per image
This keeps pricing sustainable for everyone
Most users generate 10-30 images per day

What Counts as Abuse

We reserve the right to review accounts that show patterns of excessive usage, including:

Generating 100+ images daily for multiple consecutive days
Bulk downloading images for resale or redistribution
Using automated scripts to generate images
Sharing your account credentials with multiple people

What Happens If You Exceed the Limit

First Time

We'll send you a friendly email explaining the soft limit and asking you to reduce usage.

Repeated Violations

If excessive usage continues after our warning, we may:

Temporarily throttle your image generation speed
Require you to upgrade to an Enterprise plan (coming soon)
Suspend your account if abuse continues

We'll always contact you before taking action.

Our goal is to work with you, not punish you.

No Reselling or Redistribution

You own all content generated by The Forge. However, you cannot:

❌ Resell images to third parties as a standalone product
❌ Offer "image generation as a service" using The Forge
❌ Redistribute images in bulk (e.g., stock photo sites)

You CAN:

✅ Use images for your business, clients, or personal projects
✅ Post images on social media for your brand
✅ Include images in client deliverables (if you're an agency)

API Rate Limiting

We reserve the right to throttle requests that exceed reasonable usage, including:

More than 10 image generation requests per minute
More than 100 content idea approvals per hour
Automated scripts that spam our servers

If you need higher limits, contact us about an Enterprise plan.
